Each of my paintings is an expression of what defines me in the respective moments of creation, a conglomerate of numerous factors. Themes that occupy me, emotions, feelings, memories, echoes of conversations, the essence of my experiences, observations, external events, blockages, thoughts, changes, moods, questions flow onto the canvas and become visible, tangible.

As I approach this abundance, explore it with all my senses, find colors and shapes, detach myself from some, curiosity carries me on many layers and stories emerge. 

Not only the WHAT – also the HOW – corresponds to me, my way of approaching life.

For me, creative expression is an act of liberation from limitations, a constant search for truthfulness and an encouragement to do so.
